Tennis plays a major part at the club, a buoyant social scene, thriving team set-up & dedicated coaching team delivering programmes to suit all levels. For example, we can offer support for those who are visually impaired.
We are primarily a members club, we do welcome guests and non-members to the club to enjoy the facilities available to them, however, members enjoy many benefits that makes its worthwhile joining us.

Tennis Box Leagues
What are they?
• LTA approved competitive short set singles & mixed doubles matches.
• Suitable for players of all ages & abilities.
• Average of 4-5 matches every 6 week league period.
• Competitive opportunities for members that do / do not wish to play in club teams but want some competitive element in their play.
• No traveling to play competitive tennis.
• Matches played at your convenience.
• Sociable – you get to meet & play with more members.
• You will need to join as a member. As a member of the club you can then gain FREE BTM membership and receive your own BTM number & ranking.
• Then you can register at the club to play in the box leagues.
Currently the club runs 4 singles & 2 doubles box leagues. The leagues run throughout the Summer & Winter seasons.

Heaton Tennis & Squash Club enjoys the reputation it has built up over the years & the great representation & achievement in the local leagues available in the area.
We are able to field teams in all of the leagues below.

Ladies Social Morning
Every Tuesday morning @ 10.00am – 12.00pm the club runs a ladies only social session. Booking is required, slots are available @ 10.00am & 10.30am.
This is a social non-competitive morning, usually enjoyed with a coffee & a chat afterwards in the restaurant.
Open to members (£3.00 per person) & non-members (£4.50 per person).
Do you fancy having a regular court booking each week throughout the winter months on our indoor courts? Get in contact with the club manager to discuss options, costs & availability.
As a guide the block booking season commences at the beginning of September until the end of April each year.
The club champs is the highlight of the year for members. It is a great opportunity for you to play against players you would not normally get the chance to play against.
The club champs is typically played at the end of the tennis season, i.e. end of September or beginning of October and is open to all Heaton members.

If you are after individual tennis coaching then we will be able to offer you excellent & committed coaches via Tennis Heaton who deliver the coaching programme at Heaton Tennis & Squash Club.

Adults can take part in either group or individual lessons at the club provided by Tennis Heaton.
Tennis Heaton can cater for all abilities, offering group lessons from beginner, intermediate to advanced level players.
Adults can also take advantage of our monthly clinics which take place throughout the year that are run by Level 5 Head Coach Matt McTurk.
Tennis Heaton provides high quality group and individual lessons to children from 4-18 years of age.
The Junior coaching programme at Heaton is one of the fastest growing in the county, with over 200 children attending weekly coaching & match-play sessions.
With a high level of professionalism & a love for the game, the coaches are committed to giving each child the opportunity to be the best tennis players they can be focusing on the technical, tactical, mental & physical needs of each player.
In addition to this, the Tennis Heaton coaches strive to create a culture at the club based on teamwork, sportsmanship, competitive spirit & above all FUN!
In order to accomplish this, each coach is trained in a specific system of coaching led by Head Coach Matt McTurk.
Tennis Heaton offers an extensive schools outreach programme to help grow the game locally & increase participation.
As an LTA performance club Tennis Heaton is dedicated to giving children the opportunity to experience playing tennis. As part of our schools outreach programme we also run a talent identification programme which has produced some of the County’s best juniors across a number of age groups.
Tennis Heaton holiday & performance camps are led by Head Coach Matt McTurk. The experienced, positive & passionate coaches at the Heaton camps will help you become a better, more inspired tennis player, whatever level you play at.
You’ll have the best time as you gain new skills & make new friends. Tennis Camps are suitable for boys & girls from 4-16 years & are suited to all levels from beginner to performance level players.
