Junior Development
The Junior Development programme at Heaton is one of the fastest growing in the county with over 200 children attending weekly coaching and match-play sessions. With a high level of professionalism and a love for the game, the coaches are committed to giving each child the opportunity to be the best tennis and squash players they can be, offering sessions for children between the ages of 4-18 years of age. Match-play sessions are an integral part of our mini tennis programme at Heaton as we believe that children progress far quicker when exposed to competition.

Mini Tennis
The junior development programme starts as early as 4 years old progressing through red, orange and green stages of the LTA’s Mini Tennis Programme. Once out of Mini Tennis children can continue to progress through a structured programme from one group to the next.
Group lessons take place during school term time, with breaks for half term and school holidays. During the Summer holiday period children can participate in our Tennis camps and holiday match-play events allowing them to continue their improvement throughout the year.
Junior Excellence
Heaton is an L.T.A Accredited Performance Club and we are proud to have some of the County’s best juniors training at our Excellence Academy. Players on the Academy are offered an intensive programme incorporating all aspects of training including Technical, Tactical, Mental and Physical aspects of the game resulting in some of our players competing at Wimbledon in 2006 in a U-14 National Competition.
Talented youngsters are invited into the Young Aces Excellence Academy from as young as 5 years of age where they receive a more intensive programme of coaching.
Adult Coaching
Adults can take part in either group or individual lessons at the club. We cater for all abilities, offering group lessons from beginner to intermediate level. Advanced level players can take advantage of our doubles clinics and other special events that take place throughout the year.
Taking Tennis into the Community
As part of our commitment to Bradford Tennis we run an extensive outreach programme at schools in the surrounding area. These sessions form part of our ‘Search for a Star’ scheme, giving coaches the opportunity to identify talented children. 2006 also saw the inception of 'Tennis in the Park', which is a community Tennis initiative aimed at getting people out on the courts in Summer.
Our facilities and coaches are available for use by nearby schools wishing to take advantage of what we have to offer.
