Heaton was one of the first clubs in Yorkshire to play squash, in the 1920’s we built the first squash courts in Bradford. Here at Heaton we pride ourselves on our squash & racketball successes & offer plenty of opportunities for play.

The club has won the men’s Yorkshire squash league (one of the countries premier leagues) on a number of occasions & also won the Bradford Metro league and Kirklees league in previous years & the club winning the National Racketball Championships.

How To Book A Court​​​​

Booking sheets are available at the reception desk to book your court or contact the club reception on 01274 541508.

Whether it be recreational play or competitive games & training, with 7 courts available we will be able to point you in the direction you wish to take with your squash or racketball.

During the winter months the club runs member box leagues & during the summer months a grand prix is hosted culminating in a finals evening. Combine this with fun handicap social tournaments organised by the Head Squash Coach & the club championships contested each year make for a vibrant squash & racketball scene.

Team / Competition Play​

​The club has a strong tradition of fielding depth of squads in the various leagues that the club enters each year, in particular the Yorkshire Premier League.

We are very pleased to host a number of world ranked players into our ranks, playing alongside club players forming a great combination of skill, talent & abilities to rank alongside the top teams in the county.

Bradford U3A Racketball group play their racketball at Heaton Tennis & Squash Club.

Every Monday (10.30am – 12.00pm) & Thursday 10.00am – 12.00pm) the group enjoy access to 2 glass back squash courts for training & recreational play. On occasion the group, representing U3A Heaton enjoy travelling further afield to racketball events across Yorkshire & beyond.
To access the sessions pe​​rsons must join the U3A group*, which is specifically catered for those that are either semi retired or retired.

*The sessions on offer are open to members & non-members of Heaton Tennis & Squash Club. Court fees apply, check at reception for further information.
