Matthew McTurk - Head Tennis Coach
Qualifications: PCA, USPTR Pro, RPT National Pro
Matt played at county junior level, and then received his first cap for Yorkshire Senior team in 1991. Later that year Matt travelled to the U.S.A, attending Brunswick Junior College (ranked number 2 college in the Nation) on a tennis Scholarship. In 1994 Matt returned to the UK where he played professionally on the British Tour and satellite circuit. Matt also played German League tennis and spent several months in Australia coaching and playing on the satellite circuit. Matt regularly attends coach education seminars and workshops to improve his coaching knowledge. Matt is currently coaching two of the best juniors in the country, and is also the 2006 Yorkshire Men’s doubles champion.

Simon Park - Squash Coach
Simon was world junior champion 1990, Danish, Malaysian and French open champion '95. British champion '98.U.S.and Open champion '99. Previously ranked 3 in the world and 1 in England he was also world team champion with the England team in '95 and '97.
He has been the Heaton squash coach since June '05 and has been involved in coaching the England squads. Simon has coached at all levels from beginners up to world no 13 Ong Beng Hee.

Chris Dallendar - Mini Tennis Coordinator
Qualifications: CCA USPTR Professional
Chris started playing tennis aged nine and immediately enjoyed the competitive environment that tennis brings and worked hard to achieve a place on his county team. Chris trained with a full time squad from the age of thirteen and then moved to Sutton Junior Tennis Academy at age sixteen. Chris competed at junior international events and British tour level events before taking a break from tennis. Chris has now been coaching for four years, working as an assistant coach with the PTR Academy in London, coaching British Tour and Futures Tour level players. In this time Chris has also set up his own community coaching initiative called KIT Club (kids in tennis), offering young children (2-5yrs) the opportunity to start lessons with their parents. Chris has since worked at a large health club in Liverpool where he coached a number of players, one of which was ranked inside the top ten in his age group. Currently Chris is based at Heaton Tennis and Squash Club where he is very excited to have the opportunity to help and motivate as many players as possible.

Liam Doyle - Assistant Coach
Qualifications: DCA
Liam has been a member at Heaton for over 15 Years, and has represented Heaton as captain and player all levels, including Parks 1st team, who won the league in 2003. Actively involved in Junior tennis Squads for some time, Liam is now pro-active in coaching tennis from Beginners to Intermediates, on a group or individual basis, and is a fully qualified LTA Coach having attained the DCA Qualification in July 2006.

Gul Rashid - Tennis Coach
Qualifications: USPTR Associate Member
Gul has been a playing member at Heaton TC for over 10 years. He has represented Heaton at all local club leagues including Yorkshire League. Gul has also represented his employer HMRC regionally, nationally at the West Hants Club, Bournemouth and has participated in Civil Service Tournaments in Chiswick West London. Gul is the current Yorkshire League 2nd Team Captain for 2007.
Gul started playing tennis 10 years ago, teaching himself initially and then having individual and group lessons to improve his game. He has always had the drive to be involved in the "Future" of British tennis and got involved in tennis coaching in 2006 initially completing his Tennis Assistants Award in Boston, Lincs and then shortly afterwards he obtained US Professional Tennis Registry (USPTR) associate member certificate in Warrington. Gul is now in progress of completing his LTA Development Coaching Award (DCA) in 2007.
He has a very enthusiastic and innovative approach towards coaching and has good organisational skills.
